Heavy Haul and Oversized Transport for Companies That Can't Afford Downtime

Moving oversized equipment is not something you hand to a general freight broker and hope for the best. Permits, route planning, escort vehicles, weight restrictions, bridge clearances -- if any one of those details is wrong, your load doesn't move. Or worse, it moves and gets stopped. We coordinate heavy haul shipments across the continental US for manufacturers, fleet operators, contractors, and any business that needs to move something too big or too heavy for a standard trailer.
What we move
We handle loads that most brokers won't touch or don't know how to plan for. If it's overweight, over-height, over-width, or over-length, we've likely moved something similar before. The list changes depending on what's being built and shipped at any given time. That's the point. There's a finite number of trailer types that handle these loads well, and we have carrier relationships for all of them.
Equipment and trailer types
Every heavy haul shipment is different. We match your load to the right trailer configuration based on dimensions, weight, and delivery requirements. If you're not sure whether your load qualifies as heavy haul, call us with the dimensions and weight. We'll tell you what it takes to move it.

Permits, escorts, and route planning
This is where heavy haul jobs fall apart with the wrong broker. Every oversize load requires state-specific permits, and most require route surveys to confirm bridge ratings, overhead clearances, and lane restrictions. Some loads need pilot cars. Some need police escorts. The requirements change by state, and sometimes by county. We work with specialized permit services we've partnered with for years -- firms that are selective about who they work with and know the filing requirements cold. They handle the permit applications, route surveys, and escort coordination. We manage the scheduling and carrier side. The result is the same: your load ships legally and on time, and you don't have to chase paperwork across three different state DOT offices.

Why companies work with Rite Way for heavy haul
Heavy haul is a core part of what we do. We have a carrier network built for oversized loads and long-standing permit partners who know the process cold.
You tell us what you're moving, where it's going, and when it needs to arrive. We handle carrier booking, permit coordination, route planning, and escort scheduling.
Permit processing takes time. We don't quote you a pickup date that ignores the 5-7 business days your state permits require.
You get updates when something changes. If there's a delay, you hear about it from us before you have to ask.
We hear the same story from new clients: the last broker underquoted, missed a permit filing, or forgot the escorts. That's why they switched.
